Radiant Flooring Heat
Radiant flooring heat is one of the earliest forms of
ventilation and thermal technology employed in every home. The earliest civilizations and communities in Rome used this technology in their
homes in order to keep their houses warm.
The traditional way in which this technology was used was to force air from under the floor. The popularity of this earliest
home comfort technology was greatly pronounced in many places in Europe. The same is also observed to be increasingly popular in various
places in the United States. In contrast to previous patterns of installation though, this technology is seemingly famous in newly
constructed houses wherein the system is installed when the house is still under construction. No need to reopen the floor surface to
install a unit for this will be part of the initial stages of house construction.
Radiant flooring heat comes from three popular designs: radiant air floors,
electric radiant floors and hydronic radiant heat. The first one uses air as the medium that distributes heat while the second makes use of
various cables placed under the floor surface. This is where the heat emanates. The third type makes use of hot water that comes from a
boiler. The heat is distributed across the interior using a grid of copper tubing.
The sudden interest and increasing number of manufacturers of this technology agrees with the increasing interest of costumers.
Such is brought about by number things: For one, this type of system is perhaps one of the most efficient means to keep ones house warm
without too much pain on the budget. This is because your electric consumption will be way reduced since you will no longer have to install
and use additional gadget or equipment to warm other parts of the house. Due to the conductive nature of the system, you simply have to
install the system on appropriate sites and you will be ascertained that any part of the building will be kept comfortably
warm.
There is about 2 to 4 degrees variation in temperature from the floor to your ceiling when you have this warming technology. This also helps
lower your energy consumption and you need not turn the system fully to its maximum heating capacity just to warm the space around you. With this
technology, you will not be obliged to have a humidification system. The heat that circulates inside your home does not affect in a significant
sense the moisture content of the room so you need not have one to be comfortable and relaxed.
